I am such a fan of this kid!

Just wanted to share that video with you all. The year is coming to a close and I know it’s been a tough one. Many of us are ready to be done with this year called 2009. And while I agree that there were many difficult and very painful situations that happened this year (and perhaps still happening), I am happy to say that a lot of good also went down as well.

Watching this video helps me remember the power that music has and how it can be used for positive means. There are many campaigns out there that have brought musicians together for a cause (most recently the TikTok campaign for climate action. Good job guys!) Seeing how much joy this child has put into performing this song, and the joy it has brought to others (over 200,000 views on YouTube so far!) is a real encouragement to me.

Life DOES go on. And we need to fight to make sure that it goes in the right direction. This is why Republikha believes in investing in the next generation. Let us sow seeds of encouragement and goodness in them, so that when they are older they bear fruit of goodness as well. Ika nga ni Ely Buendia, “You can never be too happy in this life.” Kids deserve to grow up with a happy childhood!
