Hi everyone! Hope being back at work or school wasn’t too tough to get used to!  I’m sure we are missing the hectic and happy  holiday schedule and, for some, the long break. Now we’re back and ready to buckle down for work. We are, right?!

Before we announce any events or give any updates, we found this video of Julianne on YouTube where she covered Pilita Corrales’ “Ang Pipit”. It was her first time to do this live, without rehearsal, along with the legendary Kakoy Legaspi for our fundraiser at Mag:net. Quesiton: Ano nga ba ang pipit?

The start of the year is a great time to sit down with the children in your life and discuss with them what they hope for in 2010. You can also talk about music events to attend together, such as concerts or musicals. Is there a particular local musician they really look up to? Perhaps this is the year they will get to meet that artist in person! Or maybe they want to learn a musical instrument? It’s never too late, or too early, to start music training.

Fresh beginnings bring with it so much hope and willingness to start all over. Let’s encourage our children to venture into things that are good for them. Music is surely one way to build character, self-esteem, expand a child’s social network and life experience, and to have fun. And there’s nothing wrong with having fun while learning, is there?
