February, in case we’ve forgotten, is famous for being the month of looooove. Whether you are a Valentine’s Day fan or not, we can’t escape the overflow of mush. Everywhere.

It doesn’t have to be all about romantic love. This Sunday, a good friend of Republikha, Carlos Castano has come up with a wonderful idea that fuses music, social action, and yes…love.

On February 14 2010, you will be able to download free music and learn about causes like Republikha. Perhaps one of these causes will speak to your heart and you will want to help out. Perhaps you’ll be inspired to do something similar. Whatever it is, come participate and be blessed by the artistry of our musicians!

Here’s what Carlos had to say:

Basically I asked some of my friends/heroes/heroines in music to share a track for FREE DOWNLOAD on V-day, I’mma put it on a site where people can download it from BUT on that site will be short profiles of not JUST the artists (thus giving them PR mileage) BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, shining a light on causes/missions that are worth every second of our/everyone’s attention, like BANTAY BATA, Republikha, and many others.

No money involved, no donations asked, JUST AWARENESS. Everything else will come in heaven’s time. What we can do together is let people (fans/listeners of the artists) know about all the beautiful commitments that selfless people have made to those that need it.

I can’t think of a better way to spend a day dedicated to love.
